The Best Ways To Make Money With Your Blog

Often I'm asked how I make money with a blog, today I want to show everyone the top ways I make money.

First of all, if you plan on making maximum money you will need to use more then one method to monetize your blog.  Everyone should understand that “blogging” alone doesn't generate money. Monetizing your blog correctly, using one or all of these methods will almost certainly generate online income.

This list includes ways to get you off to a fast start and some other more long term methods.  Also, the methods I list below will help you regardless of your traffic flow.  Although your goal should be to drive HUGE amount of traffic, because then even a small converting percentage will still make you a good amount of money.

Great Ways To Generate Income With Your Blog

1. Google Adsense

This is one of the simplest ways to begin making money with your blog, and it is simple to set up.  The two largest issues I have with Adsense are;

-Generally, it takes a considerable amount of traffic to make decent money with adsense.

-You don't want your adsense ads to compete with affiliate products you are trying to sell on your website.  Chances are, if you have Adsense and affiliate products, they will be in dirrect competition to one another.

2. Banner Advertising

Most people have love hate relationship with selling advertising space on their blog.   Although many people do it, it is not the best long term way to monetize your blog.   I would much rather use the ad space to promote your own products and benefit from a larger commission/return.  Also, you will make more money and won't need to constantly worry about attracting advertisers.  You will also  need a large blog following to attract the big advertisers and make decent money.  It can also be a pain to track all your advertisers and payments.

3. Affiliate Marketing Products

Affiliate marketing easily one of the best ways to make money on the internet.  Basically you market someones product and they pay you a commission for each sale you make.  This is a tried and true method to make money with your blog, and you don't necessarily need a big following to start making money.  If your product is targeted to your blog readers, you can potentially get a decent conversion and you will begin making money.

4. Sponsored Reviews

Getting paid to write a sponsored review on a product or website is another great way to make money with your blog. Some people have issue with this because a review should come from honest use of the product or service, others who have no issue with this do very well.
I have written a sponsored review and see no problem as long as you have at least reviewed the service or product and feel it is something you would review any way, and that you state that it is a Sponsored Review so your readers know this up front.
Sponsored Reviews and ReviewMe are two places you can get set up to do sponsored review posts.
I recommend you offer this as a service on your blog and collect all the commission.

5. Selling eBooks

Selling ebooks on the web has been around forever.  There is also good reason…It absolutely works!
I suggest that initially you build up a strong following and have some proof of success and then start to considering compiling it into an eBook.  Selling a helpful, well thought out eBook will help build a stronger relationship with the readers and will almost certainly lead to future sales.

6. Offer Consultation Service

Once you begin to see results blogging, you can start to offer consultation services to help people get similar results as yourself.  This is an excellent way to offer support to your  followers and also make money.

Again I emphasize you will need to establish yourself and have some success in the service you are selling.

7. Build An Email List

We all know email marketing is a powerful way to make money and will continue to be.  Once you build those relationships with the individuals on your list, it is the best way to make money onlne…Period!

Building a list takes a lot of time and a lot of patience, but a great way to speed up the process is to put that sign up box right in front of your reader, again and again.

Make it the first thing they see when they visit your site and the last thing they see before they leave.
You also need have something so good they will want to opt in.  Keep your offer targeted to the topics in your blog, and make it amazing…make a great first impression.

8.  Merchandise

This is another great way to make money with your blog, you're not going to get rich, but even if it's only a small amount of money, it's still nice.
